House of Hop is fast becoming the local go to Gastropub in Geraldine and surrounding areas for our locals and travellers alike.

We completely renovated and rebranded prior to Christmas 2022.

Our vision was to create a space where everyone can sit back relax and enjoy delicious food and fantastic craft beer - we have achieved our vision of creating this unique experience.

Describe the experience your customers have at your establishment – what is your food and beverage offering and why do people come back for more?

Your first impressions will be of our beautiful iron clad building housing our Gastropub and Brewery. We are set amongst 19 hectare’s of our working farm.

We offer both indoor and outdoor dining as well as our white room which can cater for private corporate and all other functions .

We have 14 beer taps giving us the freedom to wow our guests with our unique craft beer made on site.

Our standout menus are a firm favourite for any Gastropub regular.

Tell us how you showcase NZ produce / offerings? Does your menu change with the season and how is it locally influenced. How do you accommodate allergy and dietary requirements?

We are flexible enough to change up our menu to suit the season and what’s available on the day.

We grow what we can in our garden and green houses making our menu is flexible enough to take advantage of all seasonal produce and product.

What are your key points of difference and how have you managed to deliver them?

Our point of difference is that we craft our own beer and grow our own vegetables where possible.

We are always aiming to reduce our carbon foot print.

*sourcing product close to home thus reduce travel

* committed to reducing our waste

* recycle as much as possible

* our food waste is kept to a minimum and usually fed to two very happy pigs Jay and Addie.

* brewery by products are fed to the young stock on the farm-let.

Our menus are inclusive of sustainable movement. We are always keen to meet and learn about local suppliers and food produces in our area. This helps to grow our local economy and provide a more sustainable practice for everyone.

Our decor, lighting and music all contribute the Gastropub feel both inside and outside.
