Valley Inn Tavern
The Valley Inn Tavern is nestled in the heart of Heathcote Valley. It is a true local that embraces the community (including our 4 legged friends!), the ambience is Old English and displays the rich histroy of the area and tavern with photos lining the walls dating back to its establishment in 1877. The tavern was destroyed in the September 2010 earthquakes and quickly rebuilt reopening just a year later. The new building provided a greater opportunity for dining and now offers a menu customised to suit all dining experiences. The original building hosted a deep artesian well which was restored after the earthquake to make a bar leaner taking pride and place in the centre of the bar.
Customers are warmly welcomed by our fantastic friendly team, and for our locals its first name basis with a drink poured and waiting when they get to the bar. The couryard is home to two huge Pepper trees, providing a great space for families to relax in the sun while the kids climb and play. The business and buidling is family owned and operated, by Dean and Genaea Calvert.
