The Woodstock Hotel
Describe the experience your customers have at your establishment – what is your food and beverage offering and why do people come back for more?
A friendly welcome by staff who are genuinely pleased to see them; tasty food which they can't get at the next restaurant they go to as it is all made here on site and is not just brought in and reheated; local beer - brewed on site so you can't get more local than that. Every year we even grow our own hops and create a fresh hop beer for our customers to enjoy.
Tell us how you showcase NZ produce / offerings? Does your menu change with the season and how is it locally influenced. How do you accommodate allergy and dietary requirements?
Our menu is mostly gluten free and is designed this way. Our chefs create dishes for those customers with specific dietary requirements.
We run regular specials and adapt dishes depending on the season and what fresh food is available and in season. Other local West Coast products feature on our menu such as Blackball Salami Company, West Coast Pie Company, local whitebait, Westgold Butter, all local grown lettuce and herbs, tomatoes grown in Hari Hari and we are currently investigating being able to grow and sell our own lamb and pork via a local abattoir.
What are your key points of difference and how have you managed to deliver them?
We are a full experience.
